- Meet with sales staff weekly to discuss recent sales and develop labor and product orders.
- Order all products needed for jobs accurately and cost effectively.
- Primarily responsible for receiving materials and reviewing for accuracy against orders.
- Work with office manager or production coordinator to schedule the jobs to meet the availability of customers and installers.
- Be present with installers as appropriate to "kick-off" projects to ensure that all parties understand what needs to happen and in what general sequence.
- Communicate job progress daily.
- Discuss and obtain written permission for any changes in contracted work.
- Confirm scope of work and compensation with installers prior to start of job.
- Stage all materials for installer pick-up daily for following day's jobs.
- Deliver on expectations for both customer experience and project outcomes established during the sales process.
- Retrieve missing materials from local suppliers as required.
- Participate in customer walk-throughs as required.
- Manage jobs to achieve optimal profitability based on contracted proposals.
- Consistently search for new installers that can offer better outcomes and experiences to our customers.
- Resolve conflicts and complaints with urgency.
- Keep warehouse organized and clean, free of debris and trash.
- Be available for Home Shows as required.
- Be available to attend training seminars at owner’s discretion.
- Continue to self-educate on flooring trends, products, or new installation techniques.
- Willingness to be available on weekends and off-hours to installers and customers when jobs are in progress.
- Some familiarity or experience in home improvement desired.
- Positive, professional, friendly demeanor.
- Leadership skills to effectively manage installers and handle conflict appropriately.
- Able to work independently and maintain organization while working multiple jobs.
- Comfortable problem-solving and making sound decisions that work for the customer and for our business.
